Hi Alex, Graham, and others! I love the podcast, I've been listening since before wiretaps and never miss an episode.

Background: White Male from the Northeast but in Chicago. Attended top-10 US undergrad (not Ivy) for Engineering and Economics, with a fair amount of CS/programming although no formal degree. Some involvement teaching financial literacy to Chicago high school students from less-advantaged neighborhoods.

At a well-known consulting firm, generally considered "Tier 2". Getting promoted soon (slightly faster than average pace). I've jumped around on a lot of different projects types and client industries, so no specialization.

My long-term goal is to get into the edtech space. Especially with covid, I think education needs to evolve faster than ever before, and that's not going to happen without implementing new technologies. My consulting experience should lend to the strategic/business side of it, and my other ECs lend to the education side. I'm missing the actual tech side, so I want to go from the MBA into a Product Manager role at one of the large, well-known tech firms or a startup.

Other ECs: founded a non-profit/volunteering organization for helping first generation/immigrant children learn to read English, particularly in households where the parents may lack English skills. Also do SAT prep tutoring and mentorship with an organization serving high-achieving high school students from Chicago's poorest neighborhoods. Besides my ECs, I'm also an amateur board game designer (self-published games) and avid-baker (was going to compete in a Chicago competition this year but it was cancelled).

I'm looking to make the move back to the Northeast long term, hence the school selection (I also like more rural schools in general). I'm most worried about my YoE being low, especially since I've jumped around a lot at my firm and haven't specialized. What are your thoughts on my story/goals? What about the school selection?
