Two internal leadership roles at work (lead for religious affiliation and for environmental extracurricular group). Volunteer leadership role outside of work with an environmental nonprofit for past 2 years. All-American athlete from a top liberal arts undergrad college.

Worried about GRE score and standing out from overrepresented population - any thoughts? Planning all Round 1

Showing impact and growth at work is really important, and I assume is evident. Might add a couple more programs to your target list. (0)

anon94759 Likes Earned: 7 From the northeast US originally and prefer to stay here. I do primarily climate work at my MBB, with some gov't work as well. I'll plan to return to MBB post-grad; could see myself staying in MBB climate for a long while, or moving into a gov't climate position. I'm applying for a joint MBA/MPP. I worry consulting background means overrepresentation (>100 people at my MBB will apply to each M7). I think I could've done ~5 points better on my GRE, but preferred R1 given overrepresentation and that I do quantitative projects at MBB. GRE: English 164 (95th perc.), Math 161 (65th) and Writing 5.5 (98th perc) (0)

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1587 I’m not convinced you’d be considered over represented, as MBB > other consulting (generally) and climate work is vital. If you can get a 330, might be worth a couple of apps in Round 2 with that higher score, while targeting Round 1 as you are? Course if you get into HBS round 1, you’ll be set. (0)
