Notes:

- I’m a National Account Lead for a Privately Held technology consulting company in the US. My primary responsibilities are creating our go-to-market strategy for sales and business development within the Payments industry (clients like AMEX, Mastercard, etc.) to help them excelerate their business through technology.
- In 3.5 years at the company I’ve been promoted three times and now lead a team of 8 people distributed across the US. I have grown my portfolio of business at my clients from zero to $11MM of annual revenue, and have had the opportunity to split my territory to give teammates a warmer group of clients 3 different times.
- At work I lead our Employee Resource Group (ERG) focused on Educational Imbalance in our community, as well as our ERG focused on Community service. I also have the opportunity to partner with PerScholas and help those who are re-educating and making career pivots find work after going through the program.
- Outside of work, I work with local veterans organizations to help raise money to keep the veterans’ homes afloat - especially important during COVID-19 where many lost funding. This is a cause that hits home for me, as I’m a military brat; my father and both grandfathers serving in the military.
- From a career perspective I am interested in transitioning into public sector consulting in the short term with a focus on Education Reform & Economic Development. As a first generation college student I first became passionate about the topic when I got to University and realized how much ground I had to make up right off the bat. It was compounded when in my work life I saw how few people in the job market were trained for the jobs of today and tomorrow rather than the jobs of the past (I.e more of a focus on quantitative and technology skills, and less on manual administrative work).
- A person I find to be inspirational is Eric Bravermann, who was a co-founder of McKinsey’s Public Sector practice where he focused on some of the issues I mentioned, and then went on to lead the Clinton Foundation in the NGO world. I’d love to use my MBA to pivot into a career such as that.
- I'll be retaking the GMAT to score a bit higher ideally, as I imagine my GPA will weigh me down - especially as a white-male.
- I graduated with a degree in Finance & Mathematics from a competitive but not elite private university.
