3.65 GPA in International Relations at T40 U.S. college.
Initially wanted to pursue IR-related career but had a last-minute change and eventually joined Accenture. Currently 5+ years at the company and a manager.
Nothing spectacular education- or GMAT-wise, so wanted to focus on other areas instead.
Professional:
- No official strategy practice in our country until recently, but have been doing strategy work with international teams since joining (the only person doing this in the local office).
- A lot of big picture work, including conceptualizing and developing the strategy for new government platform that is now launched and used nationwide.
- Recently selected as one of two consultants to join now that a strategy practice is being established in the country. Unfortunately, this role change won't be official until next month after I already submit R2.
Extracurriculars:
- Worked with a local high-school to redevelop their entire business studies curriculum and implement across all 3 campuses in the country (5+ years and counting)
- Worked with global NGO focused on business education among high-schoolers in various capacities such as competition judge, mentor, lecturer (5+ years and counting)
Goals:
- Immediate: Join top strategy-centric consultancy in US or UK to consult for leading global
- Long-term: Return to country and join strategy & BD function in leading companies locally

With that said, some of this may depend on how over or under-represented your country of origin is in the applicant pool, and how your story comes together, etc.
It is definitely a feather in your cap that you have completed a US undergraduate education (from a top school too), so that could play in your favor. I just wonder if you might need to cast a net slightly wider than the M7+LBS. Best of luck!
