Hello, I loved listening to the Wire Taps podcast and would LOVE to be featured in it.
To give you a little bit of my background, I am a sub-Saharan African male. I moved to the Netherlands to pursue my studies which I funded through a scholarship and the income I generated through my startup in the supply chain between EU & Africa. The duality of school and managing the startup had a strong impact on my GPA. I must say, my undergrad college was not stellar, I went to a lower-tier uni in the country.
In my final year of ugrad, after some health issues, I decided to work on a startup to solve healthcare problems in Africa and worked on it for a couple of months post-undergrad. Sadly it was unsuccessful due to lack of funding, which led me to pivot to healthcare consulting at a small consulting/business development firm for the past years. I aim to do a Masters in Biopharmaceutical management next year and move to a bigger brand name firm, to work there for 2 years and then apply.
My aim after the MBA is to work a couple of years at a top (healthcare) consulting a firm with projects focused on Africa and then dive back into healthcare entrepreneurship in Africa. My hope is that the cumulation of the pre-MBA, MBA and Post-MBA experience will help me garner the experience and credibility that I lacked when launching my healthcare startup post-undergrad.
I also have been running a scholarship for youths at my secondary school back in Africa, sponsored 5 kids so far. Thank you for your feedback!
