Ivy League athlete. Graduated with over 170 credits (124 to graduate), so I took a heavy course work. Coupled with a distinct lack of effort and football, I had a low GPA. Have taken Advanced Statistics through UCLA and two Supply Chain Management courses through MIT to show growth from low GPA.

Investment banker moved to Teach For America.

Anon Likes Earned: 0 That's a lot of schools, I assume you'll split them between round 1 and 2. Great GMAT helps, as does taking the additional coursework, assuming you did well. TFA is cool, as is being an athlete. Basically, there's a lot to like, if you can overcome the gpa. (0)

Should be interesting---showing your impact in such different fields, accounting for your decisions, etc. What are your career goals? Are they inspired by Teach for America or something else? It looks like you can use the optional essays to explain your low GPA--smart move to take courses, and the GMAT will help. (0)

OP Likes Earned: 0 Career goals are in consulting. Specifically, the education practice of firms like Deloitte, BCG, or The Bridgespan Group. So, to answer the question from DorisMBA, inspired by TFA. I was looking for a feeling of purpose in my work and went to a field I know well (parents are both teachers). (0)
