If you are an international applying to US business schools, make sure you are an ex-consultant, I-banker etc. They only want those. All the singing and dancing they do regarding hiring people across the board is plain BS for international applicants.

eliot Verified User. Likes Earned: 1963 Congrats on your acceptance to INSEAD. INSEAD is a great program with a strong track record of consulting career placement. Question for you - are you an international (non-US) applicant? Also, why do you state that US business schools only accept international applicants with consulting and banking experience? I ask because there are plenty of international students who gain admission to US business schools without prior work experience in consulting and banking. I go agree that applicants with consulting and banking backgrounds are safe choices for business schools to admit because these applicants are well trained and easy to place into great post MBA jobs - but this is also true for US applicants as well.
