Notes:

I would say CBS has the best real estate program, but the cultures and learning opportunities of the other schools and 2 years away from New York aligns more with my interests (still think I want to work in New York). Would Kellogg or Booth over CBS for real estate be crazy?

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1576 I don’t think it would be crazy, I guess it depends on how much you value a non-NYC experience. You could also do that in smaller chunks, with an exchange program from Columbia? It does look like Columbia is better aligned for your goals. (1)

Likes Earned: 1149 Kellogg does have a very solid real estate track...and it sounds like they might be offering you the kind of close-knit, campus experience you crave as well. Keep in mind that the placement stats for RE at all top schools are based on very small numbers...

anon36135 Likes Earned: 47 You said it... CBS has the best real estate program in the bigger/busier real estate market. Real estate is entirely relationship-driven -- and CBS has the absolute best adjunct faculty anywhere, including successful real estate investors and developers, coming to speak with you. You would be completely crazy to pick either Chicago/Kellogg over CBS. Further, Chicago is dreary and horrifically cold during the school year... to say nothing of how dangerous and run-down it is. (1)
