Waiting for answers from Darden and Cornell.

In love for Tuck and trying to get off the WL.

NYU seems to be the best shot towards breaking into banking, but I am corcerned with the high cost of living.

anon82493 Likes Earned: 0 I'd also like to say that while sure NYU is in NYC and that is an obvious edge to break into banking, you shouldnt have a problem with that at Ross either. If you get into Tuck, you'll also have a lot of recruitment opps for banking. All the big banks go and recruit there, they're great programs. Plus, if you're at NYU you'll get stiff competition from CBS students also wanting to do banking. I've heard they are pit against each other, and Stern loses that battle rep wise. Just my two cents. anon20163 Likes Earned: 0 Placement rate at Ross for IB is very high and all major banks recruit there. Also, the cost of living is significantly cheaper, and Ann Arbor has been named a top place to live. In bigger cities, people get dispersed. You want to make sure the connections and friends you make in the MBA are solid and Ross/Ann Arbor provides the perfect environment for that. Recruiting is hard anywhere, so make sure you go where you can count on a supportive group. (0)

anon11276 Likes Earned: 0 I would say that for IB Stern is up there with Tuck and very close to the M7. Also, I don’t know about the rest of Latam but at least in Brazil Stern is a much stronger brand for finance in general. (0)
