I have a very tough decision on my hands. My eventual goal is to live in the United States, preferrably in the west coast. Career wise I would like to transition into healthcare consulting. The scholarship at Tepper is definitely swaying me that way.

What is your opinion on INSEAD?

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1584 If you want to be in the US, post MBA, Tepper would give you a better shot, but no guarantees. INSEAD would be a better option, outside of the US. I'm probably not telling you something you don't already know! Course, Marshall will have a stronger network in LA. (0)

anon13400 Likes Earned: 0 Yes, very tough. If set on US, remove INSEAD. Emory and CMU won’t have a ton of opportunity on the west coast, but will give you great options on the east coast. Emory feeds into BCG Atlanta office and CMU has close ties with NYC. Taking geogrpahic considerations out of the equation, I think Emory will give you the best opportunity to land a MBB consulting role. If set on west coast with the bros and beach, USC of course. Strong network out there. (0)

anon10660 Likes Earned: 292 First of all Congrats! I think if you are set on west coast, then USC Marshall is great and has lots of consulting hiring. Insead is a great school might be better than others but if you are set on US then you should strike it off. I agree with other two that if location is important you should pick Marshall but otherwise, Emory is a great school for MBB consulting. (0)

anon15575 Likes Earned: 0 Great choices and great scholarship(s). So, choose this way. Is it the US you want or the brand name, recognized world wide? If its the uS, then INSEAD is out. Now, within the US, what is the reason you want to be in the West? Tech Consulting? If so, Marshall has upper hand, no questions. If the West Coast is not that important, then the competition is between Tepper and Emory. Historically they are very similar. Not Tepper has a full ride, which is great and will help you get interviews a bit more. But does it land you job? For that purpose you need a better network and for that reason I'd lean on Emory. As it is right by Atlanta - a mojor hub, where as Pittsburgh, even though it feeds NYC and area, it gets crowded out and is a bit far to make a great network. Now, if you are really into Tech, then Tepper is better than Emory of course. But you are looking at Healthcare - for which South is better option, in my personal opinion. And thus, Emory has an edge here. To land a job, specifically for internationals, an internship is very important and Emory has great stats there. (0)
