I like the MIT brand, but want the London location/global diversity. Short-term post-grad, I likely want to do MBB for a couple of years before transitioning into tech. So I really like MIT's tech brand. So I really just choosing b/w MIT vs. LBS. Any tips/pointers?

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1576 I would look at the tech scene in Toronto. Does Sloan have a larger network, directly where you are? If so, that would push me to Sloan. LBS will offer you more international diversity, and London is incredible, but it would be good to look at which program can provide you more lift in Toronto. (0)

anon65627 Likes Earned: 107 Congrats on great results! Despite you only mentioning Sloan and LBS, are you still considering Booth and Yale SOM? I know Booth offers a study abroad program, meaning you could still get a semester of that location/global diversity you are looking for. Yale SOM also offers great global experiences. It even offers a study abroad program with LSE, in London. https://som.yale.edu/programs/mba/integrated-curriculum/global-study Even though these programs don't carry the MIT brand with the tech industry, both normally send a good percentage of their students to this industry (around 15%). In my case, I would put these programs ahead of LBS in terms of MBB and tech, and I would weight the global opportunities against MIT's. Good luck! (2)

anon28599 Likes Earned: 76 MIT's brand will help you the most when pivoting from MBB to Tech. LBS is not as strong in MBB recruiting as Sloan and Booth. US schools cant compare to the diversity of European schools, but Sloan does have one the highest %s of internationals for a US School. You'll get to travel a lot during your MBA, and can study abroad in LBS if you desire. Tech = MIT, go with Sloan. Good luck! (1)

eliot Verified User. Likes Earned: 1857 Congratulations on your acceptances to 4 top MBA programs! You really can't go wrong with any of your choices. Having said this, I would give an edge to MIT Sloan given is global brand and prestige for both MBB and for Tech careers. (1)
