Notes:

Full tuition, fees, and health insurance at Kelley. Still waiting to hear back from Duke...but assuming I get into Fuqua with little to no scholarship, thinking that Kelley's full ride is hard to turn down. Thoughts?

anon42906 Likes Earned: 0 Full tuition almost makes it a no brainer IMO. If you're a person that gets into Duke but takes Kelley for the full ride then you will succeed regardless with no crippling debt. People like to think that the school's ranking or brand will make them successful, but actually it's up to them to network, grind and make it work (even though a top brand can help the difference is nothing that can't be overcome by killing it at Kelley). With access to networking events and being one of their top students there is no reason why you can't land a $150k ex bonus IB job! (0)

anon12901 Likes Earned: 5 I would have to strongly disagree with the prior response, but ONLY because of your stated goal of IB. Banks recruit strongly through the top 14 and have some presence at the top 20, but through my own research, IB placement at Kelley is rare. Not impossible, but rare. If general management were your goal this would be a no brainer and you would take the money, but IB and top tier consulting are different. The $ is difficult to stomach, but having access to your stated goal should weigh more heavily than any savings. Is IB for sure your goal? If so please be weary of the comments here, as there is a big difference in access between Duke and Kelley at the MBA level. For most things you will not find a material difference but IB access is one of the few industries where school access diverges. Good luck! (0)
