Notes:

Applied to all of these schools R1 and was thrilled to get in to UVA, Kellogg and Duke. waitlisted at Yale and decided on Kellogg. Then I get an acceptance from Yale and I feel torn again. On paper, it seems like Kellogg is the right choice (higher rank, scholarship, job opps for spouse, etc). Anything I’m missing? The Yale brand is so strong.

anon10646 Likes Earned: 763 It's hard after you put down a deposit and mentally start preparing for one school, but if you were first admitted to all of these today, which would you choose? Is the anything beyond 'brand' that you love about Yale over Kellogg? (2)

pdx404 Likes Earned: 32 OP here - Thank you both for your input. It's a head/heart challenge for me. I like the geographic element of Yale due to the proximity to NYC and other east coast metro areas. I'm going to visit the admitted students event at Yale to get to know the program better (I went to Day at Kellogg and loved it!). (2)

Kellogg is a great program with a strong track record of a big tech career placement post MBA. Kellogg also has a great culture and is offering you $20k in scholarship as well. Of course, personal fit does matter so I am glad that you will be attending admit events at both programs to help you decide. Best of luck. (1)

I agree with your assessment - just wanted to double-check that I wasn't forgetting to consider something. And great memory, Graham! I am still thinking Atlanta after the program. My comment about the proximity to east coast metros is related to this 2 year season of life. It sounds like a fun adventure for our young family, but the balance of the pros and cons are tipped in Evanston/Kellogg's favor. (2)
