Of the schools I am deciding between which program would provide the greatest resources to advance my career in the investment management space? Which would hold the greatest prestige on a LT basis?

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1883 To answer those two questions, I would assume it would be Johnson, although you would want to confirm that. Johnson is in the higher tier, and has a strong finance program, generally. Any geographic preferences, post MBA? (0)

Likes Earned: 2093 In terms of buy side, job placements, I suggest that you read this Clear Admit article: M7 B-Schools Dominate in VC & PE Finance Careers Post-MBA | Clear Admit. As the article notes, Johnson sends 35% into finance jobs while Kenan Flagler sends 28% and McDonough sends 25%. Meaning, these schools have a strong track record of finance job placement. Having said this, these schools mainly place graduates into sell side jobs, not buy side jobs. Interestingly, of the schools you are admitted to, McDonough places the highest percentage in Investment Management jobs (4%). In terms of greatest global prestige, that would likely be Cornell Johnson with the Ivy League brand. In terms of best scholarship offer, it sounds like Kenan Flagler is offering you the best price (assuming that you have a $120k scholarship, not a $12k scholarship). Given that you already have experience in the industry as a buy side research analyst, and since most buy side job searches involve an independent job search, perhaps any of these programs that have a strong finance placement would be sufficient for you. Meaning, perhaps your decision really comes down to your brand vs price vs personal fit decision. Best of luck. (0)
