Help me out! I am undecided between Johnson (full ride) and Ross (25% scholarship). Dilemma is that I have a partner at Johnson, and moving to Ann Arbor will make things harder. Some of my target companies recruit at Johnson, but not all. Is Ross really worth the extra $$ and the relocation, despite MAP and the overall quality of students?

anon12025 Likes Earned: 0 Did you not like Yale? I think I'd go there over the 25% scholarship at Michigan if you weren't going to go to Johnson. Overlapping one year with your partner at Johnson would be huge though - I could not imagine going 2 years long distance (potential summer internship location overlapping, yes). In the end, I think if you are undecided I would go with the full ride - you will still be able to make your career moves at Johnson and have a more preferred personal life. (0)

anon22099 Likes Earned: 1 I’d take Cornell. It is a great school and gives you both financial and personal benefit. I guess it really depends if a small uptick in chance at MBB is worth $100k and potential relationship hardship (not to mention once you actually get the job). Aside from a littlel more attention from MBB, they are more or less peers. Where you want to have a majority of your network after graduation should also be considered (Midwest vs NE) (0)

Of course personal and financial situation is very relevant, but I'd argue that because this is a long term decision those factors shouldn't weigh as heavily as you might initially expect. As for network location, ~20% chicago, ~25% out west , and ~25% NE (0)
