Hi all, I am actually torn between Tepper and USC right now. Both are great programs, and I am currently interested in Consulting or Finance (undecided with Tech). I have secured scholarship from external and want to return to SEA Post-MBA. Any advice on which I should choose considering alumn network, intern/full time opportunity ?

Question: Are you seeing to return to Southeast Asia right after business school or are you seeking to work in the US for 1-2 years? If in the US, do you have a preference between working on the US West Coast or US East Coast? Tepper likely would give you the most options both geographically and by industry (consulting vs tech). anon10646 Likes Earned: 776 USC generally has strong reputation due to intake from across Asia across all it's schools, but always worth to do diligence for your specific country as areas like Engineering or CS, which Carnegie Mellon is strong in, may be important areas for your home market. Name branding may matter still after just a couple years in the US, but neither MBA program name may have automatic name recognition overseas, while both the parent uni's are T25 and will likely seen equivalently. I'd be more focused on which provides the best post-MBA employment for you as a prestige employer name association may carry most weight. I'd think you'd need to attempt to figure out where you primary career interests are since consulting/finance/tech is 75% of post-MBA placement and will make differentiation between programs hard. Primarily interested in consulting? Tepper has stronger stats and opens up better chance of MBB (although median placement from either is non-MBB). If finance svs or undecided on industry, Marshall has a more balanced employment placement. (1)
