I'm having trouble deciding. I'm interested in working in the West Coast after graduation. Money not a concern. Plot twist. I'm an EU citizen and am interested in moving to EU long term. Post MBA goal is financial analyst or PM at FAANG. So, McDonough or Marshall? Any and all insight is appreciated.

anon13561 Likes Earned: 0 I say USC given your desire to work in the West Coast after graduation. USC is very well known in CA and it boasts a vaunted alumni network. It's also had some recent momentum in terms of rankings. What does your pros/cons list for the two schools look like? (0)

grichmond Verified User. Likes Earned: 1149 Just to play devil's advocate.... With Amazon setting up shop in the DC area, and Georgetown having a 'global brand' edge (especially in Europe), I'm not so sure I'd say this is such a slam dunk for USC. Also, keep in mind that your best path to working with FAANG might be to do so in Europe after a US MBA (as they all have increasingly large operations there too and may not want to take you through the US visa process if they can place you abroad). Also, being on the East Coast of the US, would allow easier travels to and from Europe if you ultimately do need to recruit there in the short or long term.

anon87939 Likes Earned: 0 Forgot to mention an important part, I'm a dual U.S. citizen! I'm leaning heavily toward McDonough. Worried that after a short stint in CA my MBA will be rendered useless in EU/UK, and enticed by the "global mindset." Rankings wise, I think both programs are trending upward, but think Georgetown is a bit of a safer source given it has been in the T25 the past 10 years while USC has jumped around. Also excited about Amazon setting shop as GRichmond points out. Feel free to poke holes in my thinking. (0)
