Waitlisted at Sloan and accepted (w/o) Scholarship at Wharton. I've deposited at Wharton, but I'm hopeful for Sloan bc of a cultural fit. I want to work at a tech co./tech-focused VC after grad, & eventually a startup again (in cyber now). Considering deferring a year & reapplying to Sloan/HBS/GSB if I don't get off Sloan's waitlist. Thoughts?

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1572 I would think Wharton would help you get there, too? It might make sense to work on the WL, but if that doesn't work, hard to turn down Wharton. Do you have good opportunities at work, over the next 6 months? (0)

anon10829 Likes Earned: 0 OP: @alexbr4 I think that Wharton could definitely get me where I want....but I'm bummed that it's not my top choice & that I don't have any scholarship there to sweeten the disappointment. As for work, I was actually just offered a promotion to a PM role in my current company (a tech startup), which could be a wonnnnderful opportunity for growth. (0)
