Notes:

Need help in deciding. Got into all with similar scholarship amounts. My post-MBA goal is to work in finance, hopefully in investment management. I'll also remain open to opportunities in consulting because of my work experience (well suited for consulting). Not sure which school to pick. They are all ranked same in US News. Please help!

OP Likes Earned: 0 Olin is consistently ranked 20ish since last 3 years, unlike the other two. Would go with Olin as it is good in finance and consulting. (0)

OP Likes Earned: 0 I see that Olin is ranked same as Kelley, in overall ranking as well as in Finance ranking. When I look at Kelley though, I notice that all of its departments are ranked in Specialty Rankings in US News and that gives me the impression that it is a traditionally strong program. The flip side is I just don't know how it would be to live in a college town in the middle of nowhere. It's also so far from NYC and Houston, two of my target places due to Finance and energy focus. That's where Georgetown fascinates me, because (a) it's in DC, nice place to live, and more importantly (b) it's 3 hours or so away from NYC it will be much easier to network in NYC. I also assume that more wall street firms might be recruiting at Georgetown than other two. However, G'town is not even ranked in Finance in US News, so that's where I get confused as to how strong the program will be in Finance. @Anon: In last seven years, Kelley has ranked in 21 - 23 range, so pretty stable in that spot. Olin has ranked in 19 - 34 range in the same time span, and Georgetown in 21 - 36 range. Overall (average ranking) Kelley is best. Georgetown, on the other hand, has been ranked below 25 four times in that span. Again not trying to make case for Kelley, just trying to follow up on what @Anon said below. Lol, it's just not easy to make a decision :( (0)

Anon Likes Earned: 0 I understand your worries. Although the end decision is yours, i am just conveying my view point. Olin has been traditionally strong in finance, tough i have heard that its moving more towards product management / marketing. Whereas, kelley is good for marketing and gtown is good if you want to work for the government. Having said that, in the end it all depends on you as these are all general preceptions. Look at the employment reports for all and try to understand the culture at each. It will help you to make a decision. I think location in terms of living for just 2 years is not that important as it is the location where you will be working after those 2 years. Plus Olin recently opened a new building and has a new dean. Hopefully things would further improve and the ranking would remain in top 20-25. P.S. Dont have much insight about the other two as im going to Olin (0)

Anon Likes Earned: 0 A little late here but I had a similar choice between Olin & Kelley and ultimately decided on Kelley. Olin has a nice building but the Kelley community was the best I experienced throughout the process. Your employment opportunities will be similar from both. Don’t make this decision on any ranking metric because they are essentially the same. Don't know anything about Georgetown so can't help there. Would love to have you at Kelley but either way best of luck! (0)
