Unfortunately waitlisted at my top 2 (Tuck + Kellogg). It's down to Darden v. SOM for me, hoping to negotiate for a bit of scholarship from each program.

Love the Social Impact focus @ Yale but also the "Consultant Factory" that is Darden. Enjoy the communities / people at both, although Charlottesville would likely be the easier transition.

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1583 You could try to use the Ross scholarship to try to negotiate at SOM and Darden. All three programs are essentially in the same tier, perhaps SOM has a slight edge, overall. Do you have any geographic preference, post MBA? (0)

anon11701 Likes Earned: 38 OP here - Looking into Ops/Turnaround Consulting short-term and sustainable supply chains within industry (preferably tech or transportation) longer-term. No immediate geographic preference, although we'd prefer to end up in the Southeast 5-10 years down the road. I know Darden recruits heavily into the SE/Mid-Atlantic, but the allure of an adventure in New Haven / social impact focus at Yale is appealing to me. (1)

anon11701 Likes Earned: 38 OP again - One other data point I'm considering: I attended a large state school in the southeast for undergrad. The UVA/Darden experience feels a bit more familiar (at least from an outsider's perspective), so I'd give the edge to Yale/New Haven in terms of being a new & exciting experience. (1)
