While the two MiM programs rank similarly in the recent FT ranking (#17 IESE and #18 ESADE), it’s important to remember that this is only the second year that IESE has been eligible for the rankings (their MiM began in 2019, and needed three years of grads before they could participate).

You may want to take a look at the overall ranking of the two business schools (FT European Business School rankings recently came out), as this looks at each institution’s full portfolio of programs.  In this instance, we see IESE at #4 and ESADE at #12.  This may be of particular importance in light of your desire to work in APAC, and your need to therefore rely on the ‘global footprint’ of the institution, and the size and strength of its alumni network.

As to your career target, ESADE has a great marketing department, but I’d encourage you to look at each program’s career reports for both MiM and MBA to get a better sense of things.

I must ask, is there a reason you didn’t have INSEAD’s MiM on your list if you are aiming to work in APAC? The Singapore + France experience, and school’s broad alumni network in APAC could be worth a look.

Best of luck and thanks for sharing!
