Hi, really torn between the offers. Want to do PM tech post-MBA - UCLA with the scholarship and networking in LA and California sounds tempting but afraid to miss an opportunity to go to a great M7 school with great culture and also tech focus. Any suggestions?
Location post MBA is not critical since most likely will go through BIG tech recruit

If landing a PM tech job at a big tech firm post MBA is your main goal, I would carefully study the employment reports of these three programs to see which one has the best track record. Among these three schools, I suspect that Kellogg has the best track record with big tech recruiting. Meaning, all things equal (same or no scholarship at all three schools), you would likely pick Kellogg to maximize your chance of achieving your career goal. Now, a few questions for you. 1) Based on your current work experience, how important is it to you to need the big tcch recruiting services at Kellogg to achieve your goal? Meaning, if you already have big tech on your resume and solid connections, you may not need the schools access to big tech recruiting as much as someone else seeking to enter the industry. 2) How much money would you need to be paid in scholarship by Duke or UCLA to convince you to turn down Kellogg? 3) A related question is - how price sensitive are you in your decision? For instance, if you are price sensitive, would you be willing to attend UCLA, save $100k and allocate some of these savings to lots of networking in the bay area or in Seattle? In summary, I think that you have 3 great options to choose from. I think your answer likely depends on whether you would like to do some extra recruiting work on your own in exchange for saving $100k in tuition. Best of luck. (2)

According to all employment reports - when it comes to tech all 3 schools are pretty much alike. 1) I'm coming with a tech background (eng. , known tech company (not big tech)), I don't really know how much I would need recruiting help - my guess is that i'll do. 2) Well if its full ride (150,000) vs. 0 I guess I would go with UCLA/Duke - even now the 100k difference is pretty crucial to me. I'm just wondering what's a better outcome when it comes to networking - a more outside networking in LA and the area which is great but your class is not that tight, or Kellogg/duke where you and your classmates are really close and bonding but there's less outside networking going on.
