Hi! I heard the job market for MBA roles is currently looking bad. Have you heard anything on how it is looking for next year? Some MBB consulting firms are postponing the entry of the new class and banks/PE firms conducting lay-offs. As an international student does it make sense to ask schools for a one-year deferral or apply again next year?

Likes Earned: 1860 While I agree that there has been a slowdown in MBA hiring by large consulting firms and banks, I don't think that you need to defer your MBA start date from the fall of 2024 to the fall of 2025 due to a slowdown in MBA hiring in 2023/24. Meaning I am sure that the current slowdown will have passed by the time you graduate. (0)
