Question about Carnegie Mellon / Tepper

I got waitlisted at Tepper without an interview. While I'm happy it's not a rejection, I'm wondering if anyone from R1 has been rejected at Tepper. If they have not rejected anyone and waitlisted all those who haven't been accepted, does my waitlist mean anything positive or should I start considering alternatives?

The good news is that you are still in the fight, and that you can now assess your candidacy and seek to address any areas of weakness that the committee may have concerns about. Also, to your question, I think they have definitely rejected R1 candidates. There is at least one post here on LiveWire, and it's possible more will show up before the end of the week. Best of luck!
