Class Profile
The Two-Year MBA Class of 2027 is comprised of 128 students. Their mean GMAT on the legacy test landed at 723 and 648 on the GMAT Focus. Their mean undergraduate GPA worked out to 3.5. Forty-three percent had majored in business/commerce during their undergraduate years. Another 13% had studied engineering/computer science. Nineteen percent earned degrees in social sciences and seven percent in arts/humanities. Fourteen percent graduated with degrees in math/physical sciences. They have an average of 6 years of work experience. Fourteen percent hail from the consulting industry and 22% from financial services. Government/non-profit backgrounds cover 21% of the class while 13% had worked in tech before matriculating.
Women comprise 38% of the class, while 36% are international, representing 18 different countries. Underrepresented U.S. minorities make up 41% of the class.
Application Procedures
To apply to the full-time MBA program, applicants must submit a completed application form, official transcripts from all degree-granting and non-degree-granting institutions attended, a current résumé and two letters of recommendation. The school also requires applicants to complete three short answer questions, two written essays, and one videotaped essay about their leadership experiences and goals. Applicants must also send in their GMAT or GRE scores (waivers available) and pay a nonrefundable $175 application fee. Non-native English speakers are required to send in TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo scores, although this requirement may be waived by applicants who studied at an institution in which English was the language of instruction and worked in a country where commerce is generally conducted in English. Admissions interviews are also required and are done on an invitation-only basis.

Faculty
Goizueta has nearly 120 faculty members who teach courses across five departments: accounting, finance, marketing, organization & management, and information systems & operation management. Students are given an intimate academic experience with a 5:1 student to faculty ratio. In addition to holding advanced degrees, many faculty members at Goizueta have practical business expertise through consulting, executive and entrepreneurial work histories.
Curriculum
The academic year is broken into two semesters, which last about 16 weeks each. Fall semester classes generally begin in late August and end by mid-December. Classes resume for the spring semester in mid-January and conclude in late April. Prior to starting classes in the fall, all students participate in Onboarding, a series of pre-term exercises and events including community service and social activities. Students also take a Leader’s Reaction Course at the Fort Moore US Army base where students collaborate in a variety of hands-on leadership-building activities.
Goizueta full-time MBA students complete 11 core courses in the first semester. These courses cover fundamentals in finance, marketing, professional communications, economics, management practice, and related fields. Once core requirements are met, students are then given the opportunity to take elective courses to round out and deepen their education. Two-year MBA students have the opportunity to pursue any of more than 20 concentrations, which all fit within the school’s five primary academic areas. First-year students also take part in Goizueta IMPACT, a real-world consulting project for a local business in Atlanta. First-year students are assigned to a team with two to five other students, work with faculty throughout the year and finally make recommendations to client and faculty panels. Some past clients have included Coca-Cola, The Home Depot, King’s Hawaiian, and Porsche.
Many Goizueta full-time MBA students also take advantage of the program’s international mid-semester module, where students can pursue internships or special projects during the spring semester in sites across the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.
Other MBA Degree Options
In addition to the two-year MBA, there is also the option to enroll in the accelerated One-Year MBA program. Within 12 months, students complete three semesters of courses as well as a Goizueta IMPACT project. They can choose from more than 20 concentrations and have the same access to electives as the Two-Year MBA students. For working professionals, Goizueta also offers a part-time Evening MBA, which takes 24–32 months to complete, with the option to extend the program for up to six years. Classes meet two weeknights per week; students have access to over 15 subjects of interest and also have the option for a global immersion. For the Executive MBA program, Goizueta offers on-campus, hybrid, and online formats The Executive MBA takes 18 months to complete; students taking the on-campus format have classes meet every other Friday and Saturday. Core courses span the first three semesters, and then electives are taken during the final two semesters. The hybrid format consists of weekly online classes and coursework, as well as three in-person weekends per semester. Similarly, the online format is made up of weekly synchronous and asynchronous online learning, with the option to attend on-campus activities..

Goizueta Business School is located within Emory University’s main campus in the picturesque suburban Druid Hills section of Atlanta, less than 30 minutes from the Atlanta International Airport. The campus is within driving distance of downtown Atlanta and the Buckhead financial district, both of which house numerous Fortune 500 and 1000 companies. Emory University’s main campus also houses Emory’s other professional schools and the Centers for Disease Control headquarters. Emory’s Woodruff Library also contains the Business School’s library. Goizueta Business School’s Graduate Career Management Center (CMC) offers many services to full-time MBA students who need assistance with their job search. The CMC works within the program curriculum to offer professional development and interview training within both core and elective courses, preparing students for both the internship and job search processes. Prior to arriving on campus, students are paired with a personal career coach (PCC), a rising second-year who is interested in the same industry, to work on one’s resume, consider networking advice and the recruiting timeline. Post-MBA, the CMC and Alumni Career Services continue to share job postings and opportunities.

Consulting was the most popular industry for the Class of 2024, as 41% of employed graduates entered the field. Financial services followed at 21% of the Class of 2024.
