WE:
2017: 1 yr experience in a Finance Management Development Program at a F500 department store chain/retailer. Recognized as top of class of finance new hires. Placed within 3 months as a financial planning analyst on the Supply Chain Finance team.
2018: Middle Office role for hedge funds trading OTC products (CDS, IRS, TRS, etc.). Wanted to move to Chicago and start my career in finance; moved internally to a better job after a year.
2019 - present: Dual role (1/2) M&A consulting for middle-market business owners within a publicly traded financial services / wealth management firm. (2/2) think-tank work for business owners with net-worth north of $30M. Partnered with Family Business Centers at top Universities (think HBS, Wharton, Columbia) to develop research on family business. Personally authored numerous articles and resources for Wealth Advisors and business owners. Numerous other national leadership roles/examples from this role that are too niche to describe here.

Education:
Major in Finance, Minor in Spanish from an average state school (#1 program for Supply Chain).
Resident Advisor for 2 years in a large dorm (20 hr/week commit) to afford my education (came from little-to-no financial assistance from family).
Leadership role in fraternity of 220 guys (Secretary as a Sophomore, President as a Junior which were also about 15 hr/week commitments).
Member of the business school leadership development program.
After school mentor/volunteer.

EC:
Associate Board Member and Fundraising Chair since 2019 at a well known/respected Foundation. Heavily involved. Ran a marathon to raise support for the cause; some noteworthy volunteer examples during the pandemic.
Chair of the Professional Development Committee since 2020 at my compahy.

Other notes:
I want to launch a search fund post-mba to acquire a small to medium sized business in the Supply Chain industry. I partnered with two M7 Chicago B-schools to develop ETA events and resources at my firm in 2020/2021. I plan to use my M&A, supply chain, and leadership experiences to acquire/run a business. I plan to highlight my track record of commitment to ETA/Search Funds as my differentiator to my target schools. I have spoken with ETA/Search Fund students/alumni at each of my target schools.
