I studied economics at a top 30 liberal arts school and from there worked at a healthcare analytics company, working with major pharmaceutical clients to provide insights and analysis to them based on proprietary healthcare data the company owned. I was there for 2.5 years and promoted once.

I have spent the last 1.5 years at a “unicorn” healthcare tech company in strategy and ops. In my current role I work with many MBA grads and feel that a formal business education and consulting experience will help me ultimately achieve my goal of running the strategy and ops function at a tech company within the healthcare space one day.

In terms of ECs, I worked in college as a statistics tutor and continue to work with a nonprofit educating girls interested in tech on basic tech and coding skills. I also founded a program with the career center of my undergrad school that highlights alumni career paths through an online blog and facilitates connections between alumni and current students.

I have taken the GMAT 3 times but I am pretty unhappy with my score of 700 - I plan to retake it again, and might consider also taking the GRE if I cannot get the GMAT score higher next time.
