anon11704 Likes Earned: 2 Update: pre-MBA career is Army Officer (not consulting); Long term goal is to start a consulting business focused on helping small / family owned businesses. Struggled with GRE (161Q / 158V) is most likely my cap score. Plan to make up for average score in other parts of the application. Have been in contact with Vets Clubs at target schools. (1)

alexbr4 Verified User. Likes Earned: 1572 Ahhhh, the GRE is going to stand out, a little. But GPA is decent. I’d think your military experience will help differentiate you. Does your longer term goal tie to some of your experiences (I.e interested in the why behind the long term goal). Because you’re applying next season, really might be worth one more go at the GRE, after a little break? But even with this GRE, you may see success at some of these programs. (0)

armyrangeruva Likes Earned: 2 For the long term goal - Between seeing small businesses struggle during COVID and hard working immigrants coming to America and starting small businesses of their own, I don't believe they receive enough quality support. Working in Afghanistan and seeing thousands of families displaced as the US left in 2021, alot of those families are doing whatever they can to support their family. Most of them with work ethic and ideas but lack the resources to start or grow a small business. On the GRE side, for my target schools (UVA, Duke, G-Town) I have the average score in their recent class profiles (319, 318, 317 respectfully). Interesting that having the average is what seems like a red flag. I'm deploying soon through R1 deadlines, so my current plan is to retake the GRE only if I don't get in anywhere during EA/R1. Appreciate the feedback! (1)
