My ultimate goal is to reduce barriers for children who want to participate in sport, and to create a separation between athletics for entertainment, and athletics for as a place for kids to develop life skills.

Certainly an unusual pathway to an MBA, which can help from a diversity standpoint. Goals tie well, too. Very good numbers also help. anon52571 Likes Earned: 8 I ended my athletic career leading Team USA to a silver medal at the 20th World Maccabiah games where I placed 3rd overall. The following year I was the Director of Operations for the 2018 Big Ten team champion University of Illinois men's gymnastics team. Most recently my athlete won the Junior elite national championship and was one of four high school athletes in the country selected to compete at the Senior national championships. He placed 21st in the Olympic selection process and I was the youngest head coach on the floor of the competition by over a decade. I've won national coaching awards and have been selected to coach teams on both the national and international stages in addition to coaching athletes on the junior national team. I'm also a member of the College Gymnastics Association and helped to restructure the organization in 2019 which has led to the addition of the first varsity men's gymnastics program at the NCAA level in over 60 years. In my current role I run the largest boys gymnastics program in the Pacific Northwest and manage a $250,000 budget for the program. I oversee 7 coaches and 80+ athletes. I selected each program for a slightly different reason; I chose McDonough because I believe it is an up and coming program, it also has some of the best global programing and is the top program in DC. My undergrad in political science and human rights has forged a proclivity for public service and DC would be a great place to build those connections. It also serves as a really solid back up school. I'm applying to LBS because I have family in London and I have aspirations to work for an international governing body for sport. I figure having a degree from a program that is exceedingly international and globally well-respected will help me with that. Based on my research I am under the impression that it is easier to get into top firms out of LBS as an American than it is to get into top firms as a student in the US. I'm applying to Stern and Booth largely because of location and the people whom I have talked with at both schools. Booth's pay-it-forward culture is something that seems to be strongly bought into by the whole MBA program and resonates with me. NYU's change branding seems to have had a real impact on the students whom I've talked with there. Both are very exciting and high quality programs. Yale is my top choice. Everyone I've spoken with seems to have a predilection to do good in the world and I want to be part of that. I'm also a huge fan of the raw cases and the integrated curriculum at Yale.
