Hello, I've really enjoyed listening to the podcast. I am planning to apply this Fall in round 1. I attended a well-known private school in the Western United States with a double major in Russian and international relations. I graduated summa cum laude. I have 6 years of experience in the Air Force, to include a significant amount of international experience in both Africa and Europe, working with both Special Operations and a number of our foreign partners. My goals post MBA are to join a leadership development program in the tech sector. I understand that the biggest weakness in my application is my GRE score. I've take it twice (158Q, 159V) and (156Q, 162V). However, I am slightly confused as I've seen several podcasts note that 318 is a low score, however, Poets and Quants recently published the average GRE scores of the top 50 US programs and 318 meets the average for schools ranked as high as Duke and is just slightly under most T16s (although averages do vary). I do plan on taking either HBS Core/MBA Math. I know it would definitely help to re-take the GRE, but I am curious to what extent a high GPA and unique work experience outweigh a slightly lower test score? And if my goal is to join a LDP, does a M7 really help me or am I okay targeting schools in the T25? Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you!
