Hi all. I'm a transitioning military officer and I've been accepted to KF and Tepper, still waiting to hear back from Foster. I'd like to use an MBA to pivot into either general management or some form of marketing/PM role within the tech industry. I have no real geographic preference as to where I'll end up immediately after.

anon65627 Likes Earned: 107 Not that KF is a bad program, but in terms of tech it's hard to beat Tepper. If you get accepted to Foster and maybe get some scholarship money, that could perhaps change the balance. But as of right now, I'd say Tepper is the way to go. (2)

anon29029 Likes Earned: 118 UNC KF and Tepper are peer schools, ranked similarly with similar profiles. Tech is usually #1 at UNC in terms of placement. Most people work at Amazon, Google, Dell, Cisco and Microsoft in PM roles. I think it comes down to feel. Pittsburg vs Chapel Hill. Historic and Beautiful College town vs City. Slightly bigger class UNC) vs smaller class. (2)

anon22776 Likes Earned: 155 Congrats first of all, I will say wait on Foster first and then we can compare. If /when you get Foster, I will say it will be best to see which school gives the most money. I applied to both Tepper and Foster and can say they are both great for tech. I didn't do research on UNC but I bet they are as well. I will pick Tepper over Foster based on the connection the parent company seems to have in the tech world. Since you really don't have any preference, this is the one time I think the amount of scholarship they give could help sway it for you. Good luck (2)

anon17670 Likes Earned: 318 Congratulations on all your offers. Great wins. If you are focusing on the brand name. Tepper will be the obvious choice. UNC is great for general management and Tepper PM in Tech. Foster might be the deal-breaker based on your post-MBA goal in Tech and also Marketing. Foster has 40 - 50% of their cohort going into Marketing in Tech, higher than Tepper/UNC. Foster also has an affordable MBA program compared to the cost of attendance at Tepper and UNC. Hopefully, you get some good news with great funding from Foster. You are in a good place based on your offers. Best of luck. (3)

I think that your decision will come down to your geographic preference, cultural fit and net tuition cost. Best of luck! (2)
