Dartmouth Tuck Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Second-Year Student / Zoom
Interview was 30 minutes of initial intro and questions about me. Last 10-15 were for me to ask questions of her. Overall tone was very friendly and conversational. Interview was resume based, not application based. There were definitely some questions that she needed to ask, but the interview flowed naturally with follow-up questions that drew out any answers that weren’t clear. Introduce yourself. Why MBA? What do you want to do with your degree? Why Tuck? How would your coworkers or people who work with you describe you? Give me an example of something you have done that would cause

Stanford GSB Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / Virtual
The interview was formal, but still casual. We had a minute or two of small talk before the interviewer jumped right into it, giving me background on himself, allowing me to ask him questions about his professional experiences. Then from there we jumped into my background and, through conversation, he asked me some probing questions. He was less worried about what I did and more interested in the introspective aspects. Questions Asked: > Walk me through your resume. > Why did you choose investment banking out of school? > What hard skills in investment banking did you

Stanford GSB MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / Zoom
It was a stressful interview, no introductions or friendly banter. Interviewer outlined the format of the interview (40 min behavioral Qs, 10 min for 1-2 questions) then started right away. Each question probed deeper into my decision making and he even asked about the thought processes of peers and subordinates under me. It was stressful and he did seem to acknowledge that at the end. “Sorry for peppering you there” was his comment. Seemed like he was very interested to get to the core of my thinking. Only time for 2 stories. Overall, it was my most challenging interview, much

The interview was very casual and conversational. He asked me the very standard questions: – Tell me about yourself. – Why MBA/why Fuqua? – ST/LT goals? – Strengths and weakness? – Any questions for me? The interviewer gave me a very comprehensive introduction about himself at the end of the interview and shared more about Fuqua and its opportunities. It was an excellent experience. Cornell Johnson MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Adcom / Zoom
The interview was very conversational and casual. He broke the ice by chatting about the weather and the city that I live in for a few mins, which put me at ease. UVA Darden MBA Interview Questions & Report: Early Action / Second-Year Student / Zoom
Darden has a completely blind 45 min interview, the student or the adcom has not seen the application or the resume. The first question was ‘Tell me about yourself’ to which I talked for 15 mins. He followed with the following questions: – What is your leadership style? – How do you incorporate diversity in your team? – Strengths and weaknesses. – Any questions for me? Overall, this was one of the best interviews that I had as the 15 min monologue had set the tone of the interview. There was nothing surprising.

Wharton MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Second-Year Student / Zoom
I was interviewed in early November. It was a group of six people with two second years. The second years joined 10 minutes before the official time. The TBD was well run. Everyone chimed in and was able to provide input to the final presentation. I was expecting the 25 minutes to be quite long, but it went by quickly. We did not use up the full 5 minutes for the final presentation so hopefully that would be fine. Interview question for the 10 minute chat is why MBA and why Wharton. Then spent sometime discussing with

USC Marshall MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Adcom / Virtual
I spoke with Laura Hartman, a member of the Admissions Committee, through Microsoft Teams. This was a blind interview so she was not the person who reviewed my application. Unlike some of the other interviews that I’ve had so far, this one was a little more formal, less conversation outside of the questions being asked. That threw me off a little bit and made me a little more nervous than I was beforehand. -Walk me through your resume. -What does your current role entail? -Why an MBA? -Why Marshall? -What leadership experience do you have?

TBD: The TBD experience was pretty friendly and we had 6 people in total from diverse backgrounds in our discussion group. The facililator started with rules of the TBD and set the countdown. We then focused on each question in the prompt and finished around the countdown of the given time frame. Everyone in my group was polite. 1-on-1 interview: This part was conducted by the two facilitators (second-year students). Questions asked: Why MBA and why Wharton? Any question for me? No big surprise throughout the interview.

What’s your career goal? How can an MBA help you achieve your goals? Why Cornell Johnson? What steps will you take to achieve your goals and what is your plan B if it doesn’t work? Michigan Ross Interview Questions & Report: Round 1 / Alumnus / Zoom
Interview was on Zoom with an alumnus based in Chicago working in tech and a former MBB consultant. The vibe was relaxed, although the interviewer was a little ranty, telling me why consulting work-life balance sucked and why he’s glad he got out. The first question was an icebreaker – what did you have for breakfast. Then we got into the substantive questions. Surprisingly, the interviewer did not ask me to tell him about myself or walk through resume. Instead, the first question(s) were: Why MBA? Why Ross? Why now? Then, we dove into behavioral questions, which included: Tell me

They seem to match interviewer based on region and industry. My interviewer has similar background with me and knows a lot about my industry. How do you think about xx industry? Why did you make the career move? What was your thinking process? What’s your long-term career goal? What are your extracurricular involvements? Why MBA? Why Stanford? Any questions for me? I think the questions are pretty standard and the interview is quite friendly.

The interview took place on Zoom with two second-year students. They let us into the room about 10 minutes before the TBD was scheduled to start. There were 6 prospective students participating. We were all American. I actually knew one of the other interviewees, but neither of us let on to the rest of the group that we knew each other. We spent this time with getting to know each other. After 10 minutes, the two second-year students gave us instructions and read us the prompt. Then, they had all of us go around and introduce ourselves with our name,

I had my interview with a 2019 alum. He was in fact very responsive and quick in setting up time. We scheduled an hour, but when we started he said we will do 30-40 mins of Q/A and then questions for him: 1. Started with tell me about yourself and overview of resume. 2. Short-term and long term goals? 3. Why MBA? 4. Why Ross? why now? Then we jumped to behavioural questions: 5. Time when you didn’t know anything in project and still went ahead. 6. List of interview questions 1. Walk me through your resume. (I was cut off after a very short amount of time. I only got to mention my undergrad and one of my three jobs) 2. Why an MBA? Why now? 3. What attracts you to Johnson? 4. Do you feel you will be at a disadvantage going into consulting (I’m not sure why they thought this. It’s not my plan. The interview seemed very robotic and all questions were pre-planned rather than questions to learn more about me or expand on what I had said earlier.)

I went through an interview day at the Haas campus. All in all it was about a 7-hour long day including the interview and a great time meeting fellow prospective students as well as current students! My interview was a standard 45 minute interview with an alumnus in the middle of the events mentioned above. My interviewer was incredibly friendly and took the time to put me at ease before getting into the questions by going
