IESE MBA Interview Report: Round 1 / Adcom / Off-Campus
The following IESE MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! The interview itself is very conversational. Adcom is friendly and attentive. Focused on firstly extracurricular activities during college, and then career goals. Expressed some concerns for CG (I aim for a career switch) and then switched to professional experiences. Asked some behavioral questions in between, but most of the questions were very straightforward, nothing out of the blue. Also adcom asked some questions about my family background and a career gap. Offered a time for me to ask questions and gave detailed answers.

Emory / Goizueta MBA Interview Report: Round 1 / Adcom / Off campus
The following Emory / Goizueta MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! The interview was very down to earth. Katie from Admissions is very easy to talk to and listened intently to my interests in the program as well as asked me questions regarding my current position. She asked about what my coworkers/manager would say about me if asked. She seemed very passionate about Goizueta which really made me even more excited about the opportunity. She was very warm and pleasant and made me feel comfortable even though I was extremely nervous!

UT Austin / McCombs MBA Interview Report: Round 1 / Second-year student / Skype
The following UT Austin / McCombs MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! This interview was friendly and casual. It was as much an opportunity for me to interview the student as it was for him to interview me. He didn’t ask many questions, and left a lot of time to answer questions about his McCombs experience. Unfortunately, there were major Internet connectivity issues throughout (definitely on my end, due to my international location), but my interviewer was extremely friendly about any snafus. The questions were fairly basic, but challenging: -Why

Georgetown / McDonough MBA Interview Report: Round 1 / Second-year student / Skype
The following Georgetown / McDonough MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! The interview was very friendly and casual. It lasted about 40 minutes long, and we covered a lot. My interviewer wore a backwards baseball cap! He hadn’t seen my application before – had only had a chance to look at my resume. He asked me most of the basic interview questions, including: -Walk me through your resume. -How did you end up where you are in your career now? -What would you contribute to the McDonough

Columbia MBA Interview Report: Early Decision / Alum / Off-Campus
The following Columbia MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by an Early Decision applicant. Good luck to them! I recently completed my CBS interview with an alum. It was pretty conversational. She started off asking several resume based questions. She then questioned me about my career goals and how my current work experience aligns with my goals. She then asked me about why I am seeking an MBA, why CBS and how I would contribute to the program. At the conclusion of the interview, she spent several minutes sharing her experience at CBS.

Columbia MBA Early Decision / Alumnus / Off-Campus
The following Columbia MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by an Early Decision applicant who was accepted. Congratulations to them! I received an email from Columbia notifying me that I had been selected for an interview, and then another one with a list of six alumni (names and emails) that I could contact to set up an interview with. I was instructed to contact them one at a time, giving each two business days to respond. If I didn’t hear back, I was to move on to the next person. After researching each person a little on

UVA / Darden MBA Interview Report: Round 1 / Adcom / On-campus
The following UVA / Darden MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! All Darden interviews are blind, so the interviewer has not seen your application or resume. My interviewer was an admissions staffer who explained to me that invitations to interview are determined by two admissions staffers’ evaluations of the candidate’s application, then a third staffer does the blind interview and writes a report that gets added to the admissions file. The last step is for two additional admissions staffers to review the completed file (application plus interview report),

Northwestern / Kellogg MBA Interview Report: Round 1 / Alum / Off-campus
The following Northwestern / Kellogg MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! The interview was very informal. We met at a Caribou Coffee near both of our home locations. I dressed in a full suit, compared to her jeans and T-shirt. She asked the typical questions you would expect from an MBA interview, and asked several follow-up questions to my responses on my short- and long-term goals, and to my response to facing a challenge on a project. I will say that she was clearly reading off of a script, and

The following UCLA Anderson MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! The interview was with a second year student on Skype. It was very relaxed and conversational. He belonged to the same Pre-MBA field as I do. After giving a brief introduction about himself he asked me the following questions: Tell me something about yourself? Why MBA? Why Now? Why Anderson? What is your leadership style? Based on my answer he asked a follow-up question too. What role do you assume in a team? E.g. Leader,

The following NYU / Stern Executive MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant who was admitted. Congratulations! This interview experience was for the NYU Executive MBA Program. Since there is little information about EMBA’s out there, I hope to be able to help other prospective EMBA students. The interview was with the adcom and it was part of the mandatory pre-application process NYU has – where you submit a small questionnaire and most recent resume. The atmosphere was relaxed and in their admissions office. Questions were: 1. Tell me

Northwestern / Kellogg MBA Interview Report: Round 1 / Second-year / On-Campus
The following Northwestern / Kellogg MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! I had my interview couple weeks ago on campus with a second year student. The interviewer was very nice and started by explaining that she went through extensive training and her input will have as much weight as that of an admissions officer. She took notes during the interview and had a list of questions that she was looking at from time to time. The questions that I got were the following (not necessarily in this order):

UNC Kenan-Flagler MBA Interview Report: Round 1 / AdCom / On-Campus
The following UNC Kenan-Flagler MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! This was my first business school interview and I was understandably nervous. I signed up for an interview during Kenan-Flagler’s “open interview” period during which anyone can schedule an interview (no need for an invitation or even having submitted an application). When I arrived they had a current student sitting with us, talking about her experience, which was nice. I was interviewed by a member of the Admissions Committee, who was very professional but not unfriendly. Some of

Northwestern / Kellogg MBA Interview Report: Round 1 / Alum / Off-Campus
The following Northwestern / Kellogg MBA interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant. Good luck to them! The interviewer was an off campus Alumnus, graduated from Kellogg in 2008. He has been interviewing students for a long time now. He was very cordial and invited me to his office for the interview. Very pleasant and friendly environment. I was surprised by the friendly and conversational atmosphere. I can definitely say that the students from Kellogg are definitely very straightforward, cordial and want to share their knowledge with anyone they speak with. Started with the

Why Booth/ Why Chicago? 4. What are your career goals? 5. What Clubs

The following Columbia Business School MBA Admissions interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a J-Term applicant. Good luck to them! Submitted Application: 9/13 Invitation to Interview: 10/5 Interview Scheduled: 10/13 Still waiting to hear back! I received six emails of alumni I could interview with, and like everyone recommended I looked up each one on LinkedIn to see who would be a good match. USC Marshall Interview Report: Round 3 / Adcom / On-Campus
The following USC / Marshall interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 3 applicant who was admitted. Congratulations to them! Had my interview in May 2015as a Round 3 applicant. Interview actually was with two Adcoms (seemed like one was relatively new) and was fairly straightforward. Worth noting that I have a relatively unconventional background, so a lot of the questions were rather pointed in what I perceived as an attempt to explain my path to and out of Marshall. Why do you want to pursue your MBA right now? Why Marshall? Can you explain the reasons

UCLA Anderson MBA Admissions Interview: Round 1 / Second-Year Student / Skype
The following UCLA Anderson MBA Admissions interview report was submitted to Clear Admit by a Round 1 applicant who has been accepted to and decided to enroll at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Congratulations to them! The MBA section would be incomplete, if I do not share the interview experience of the school, which I ultimately decided to join. I distinctly remember Anderson’s application primarily because of the tricky essay question – “3 defining principles- Share Success, Think Fearlessly and Drive Change define UCLA Anderson. What principles have defined your life and pre-MBA career? How do you believe that UCLA’s Anderson’s principles

I arrived for my interview about 15-20 min early. When I checked in, they handed me a packet they had prepared for me based on what I said I was interested in studying and the student groups I might be interested in joining. Read this while I waited for my interview to begin.
My interviewer was very nice and approachable.
First thing I did was hand her an updated resume and explain what had changed.
