Extremely relaxed interview. The student told me to walk through my life leading up to the Darden MBA, and include the motivations for each of my major decision ending with the Why MBA/Now/Darden questions. He asked some simple follow up questions throughout. He had not seen any information about me prior to the interview. Something interesting is that this interviewer and I had a ton in common across our education/career backgrounds and future goals. I don’t know if I just lucked out or if that was by design from the adcom, but it made for a great interview experience.

Note:
I was waitlisted in December after applying R1. Was invited to remain in the waitlist in March. I have received a call from my waitlist officer since then to ask me typical Qs (why Columbia, why MBA etc), seemed like they just wanted to know if I was still interested.
