Did a full campus visit day including the interview. My interviewer was lovely and engaging. It was a blind interview. Standard tell me about yourself, why MBA, why Darden. Texas McCombs MBA Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / Zoom

The most casual interview I’ve ever been a part of. The interview is scheduled for 20-30 minutes and it definitely goes quick. My interviewer started off by introducing herself and giving me a brief rundown of her professional experiences. She then asked about my personal/professional experiences and why I was interested in McCombs. It was then a very informal Q&A where I was able to ask any question I wanted about her experience and the program. She didn’t ask any interview or behavioral-type questions. Very casual – my interviewer started by briefly telling me about herself and then mentioned that she had 6 questions to ask me. The first was to give my academic and professional history/experience, and to include any relevant information from my upbringing. Note:

I was surprised at this decision, at the same time not very surprised as the interview didn’t go that well for me and I feel that was what possibly drove the decision, the interviewer (2Y MBA Student) was quite out of touch with my pre MBA career field and struggled to understand my response to the interview questions, she had to draw me back a couple of times to understand what I was speaking about, so I can imagine how she was able to make a case for me when she was struggling to understand me.
