I was interviewed by an alum - I am unsure of how Ross pairs up interviewers / interviewees, but I was luckily matched with somebody from my industry and location (leading to seamless conversation starters).
Invited to interview on 3/2 and completed the interview on 3/8.

The following HEC Paris MBA interview report was provided to us by a Round 2 applicant. Good luck to them!
Interviewer arrived 90 minutes late. After 30 minutes of waiting I called him and he said he was stuck in traffic but I got the sense he had forgotten about the interview and my call reminded him. He arrived an hour after I had called him. When he arrived he apologized but not as profusely as I would have expected from someone arriving so late.
To begin he asked me to go through my résumé, during which he seemed completely bored. After discussing my résumé for about 10 minutes he began to discuss his experience at HEC unprompted. He then spoke for about 30 minutes about all the reasons he did not enjoy his experience there, about how hard it was for him to find a job in the US after studying at HEC, and how he would choose differently if he could do it all over again.
After he was finished, he said, “I dont want to scare you away from the school but I really wouldn’t recommend the school for anyone wanting to work outside of France.” He never asked me for any leadership examples, weaknesses or strengths, or any further questions about my background. For each interview we are supposed to prepare a powerpoint presentation on the topic of our choosing to present during the interview. I was never asked to present it during my interview. Maybe he was having a bad day, but this was by far the worst interview I had ever experienced academically or professionally. Needless to say I lost interest in HEC after the interview.
After your interview, be sure to add your first-hand interview report to the Clear Admit Interview Archive.
