Michigan Ross Interview Questions & Report: Round 2 / Second-Year Student / On Campus

I interviewed on campus with a 2nd-year student. The interviews take place in two sessions in the morning – a blue round, and a maize round. I was in the first round, so I interviewed around 8:40am.

My interview was very conversational. We chatted for about 5-10 minutes before even getting into the classic “Tell me about yourself.” It was in a small conference room and the interviewer typed notes as I talked and made eye contact occasionally and asked follow-ups.

Questions asked:

  • Tell me about yourself.
  • Why MBA / Why Now / Goals?
  • Why Ross?
  • Time you had a difficult time with a coworker.
  • Time you failed.
  • Another behavioral that’s escaping me…
  • Then asking them questions.

I would advise you to be really clear on your story and why Ross!

I interviewed on Feb. 15, so I don’t yet have a decision. But I really enjoyed the interview and am hopeful that I get in because it was my favorite interview yet!
