The Cornell University Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management MBA employment report reveals a successful Two-Year MBA Class of 2022. Out of 276 graduates of the class, 259 sought full-time employment. Ninety-seven percent received job offers within three months of graduation and 96 percent of those graduates accepted jobs within the same time frame. The average base salary for the Johnson Two-Year MBA Class of 2022 is $155,048, an 11 percent increase over last year’s class. Average signing bonuses landed at $38,310.

Industry & Regional Placement

Thirty-nine percent of Cornell Johnson Two-Year MBA graduates entered financial services with 26 percent pursuing investment banking as their function. Thirty percent joined the consulting industry and 15 percent entered the tech field. Consumer products followed at five percent and manufacturing rounded out the top five at three percent for industry choice.

Ninety-one percent of Cornell Johnson grads stayed in the U.S. for post-MBA employment. Half of the Two-Year MBA Class of 2022 stayed in the Northeastern U.S. for work. Sixteen percent headed to the Western U.S. and 10 percent settled in the Midwest U.S. Six percent each chose to work in the Mid-Atlantic or Southwest.

Regionally, the highest average salary was reported in the Midwest at $162,318, and by industry, law/legal services jobs, which only one percent of the graduating class pursued, paid the highest average salaries at $211,667. For the more popular industries, the average base salary for financial services landed at $161,563. Those who chose consulting reported salaries that averaged $167,648. Finally, tech salaries came in at an average $137,274.
