The Real Humans of the Georgetown McDonough MS in Management Class of 2026 highlight what makes the program such a compelling launchpad for early-career talent: a globally minded cohort that pairs momentum and curiosity with a strong service ethos and an eagerness to turn classroom learning into real-world impact. From London to Avignon, from rural Paraguay to luxury event venues, these students arrived in Washington, D.C., ready to build core management skills, sharpen analytical toolkits, and learn alongside peers whose backgrounds stretch across industries, continents, and cultures.
To start, Bobbie Dubey joined the MiM straight from Queen Mary University of London, motivated by the desire to deepen his understanding of management. With early exposure to financial services through internships and a life shaped by experiences across Europe and Asia, he brings a culturally fluent perspective that helps bridge viewpoints in a diverse classroom. For Sarah Woessner, the MiM is a deliberate step to accelerate her professional readiness after earning a business administration degree at American University. Georgetown’s D.C. location and access to global organizations stood out, as did the program’s opportunity to take on a consulting project abroad.
Then, Aura Catalina Christman worked in diplomacy as an intern at the Embassy of Colombia to Switzerland and Liechtenstein before spending two years in Paraguay with the U.S. Peace Corps as a Community Economic Development Promoter. That experience shapes the way she approaches leadership and collaboration. She chose McDonough for its values and “people for others” mindset, and she’s using the MiM to strengthen her quantitative foundation and expand her impact in international development. Additionally, Sylvia Poulos spent two years in luxury event planning, supporting high-end weddings and major member functions, managing vendors and timelines, and learning the craft directly from seasoned florists and planners. Now, she’s at McDonough to move beyond delivering exceptional experiences to designing, scaling, and leading them, with post-MiM goals in strategy and brand experience within hospitality, luxury, or experiential organizations—and a long-term vision of owning a luxury event venue.
