Age: 22
Hometown: Avignon, France, and Sarasota, Florida
Undergraduate Institution and Major: American University, Business Administration

Why did you make the decision to attend business school? Why now?
After graduating from undergrad, I chose to attend business school to build new skills and deepen my knowledge and understanding of topics that will support my long-term professional growth. I chose to attend business school now because I believe the sooner I gain these skills and knowledge, the more prepared I will be to enter the professional world and contribute meaningfully in my future role.

Why did you choose Georgetown McDonough? What factors figured most prominently into your decision of where to attend?
I chose Georgetown McDonough for its reputation and academic excellence, but also for its location. Located in the capital of the United States, Georgetown McDonough provides key access to diverse industries, international organizations, and an extensive professional network. Additionally, the Master in Management (MiM) at McDonough provides the opportunity to partake in a consulting project abroad, which allows students to gain real-world experience on an international scale, a unique opportunity that stood out to me when applying.

What do you think is your most valuable or differentiating contribution to the class?
I believe that my differentiating contribution to the class is my international perspective. Having grown up between two continents, I have learned how to communicate cross-culturally, navigate different cultures, and adapt quickly. This experience has shaped how I approach problem-solving and teamwork, allowing me to consider diverse viewpoints and collaborate effectively with my peers.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself that didn’t get included on your application:
A fun fact about me is that I grew up with a pet donkey!

Post-MiM career interests:
After the MiM program, I am interested in pursuing a role in management consulting, corporate strategy, or international development, ideally helping companies expand into new markets or strengthen their global operations. My goal is to help companies solve complex business challenges and create long-term sustainable growth.

Advice for Current Prospective Applicants:
–What is one thing you would absolutely do again as part of your application process?
The one thing I would absolutely do again is reach out with any questions. Asking questions gave me clarity and confidence throughout the application process and helped in my decision to attend Georgetown.

What is one thing you would change or do differently?
I would have reached out to student ambassadors. Hearing from current students provides valuable insights that can help prospective students understand the program and the community better.

What is one part you would have skipped if you could—and what helped you get through it?
Honestly? None. All parts of the application were meaningful and helped me reflect on my goals.

What is your initial impression of the Georgetown McDonough students/culture/community?
The community is incredibly welcoming! Every student is ambitious, driven, and there is a true sense of collaboration: students support one another. I really like how I can count on my peers if I have any questions regarding the job search process, applications, or interview questions. The community – from professional staff to students – creates an environment in which I feel supported.

What is one thing you have learned about Georgetown McDonough that has surprised you?
One thing that I have learned and that has surprised me is the number of opportunities that exist beyond the classroom. Georgetown McDonough offers many events, clubs, and opportunities to get involved within the community, explore different interests, and connect with others.
