Pre-MBA Work Experience: I worked as a veterinary technician at CROW wildlife clinic and Bolanos Veterinary Center, was as a Graduate student at UF studying fisheries and aquatic sciences for a combined 4 years post undergrad.
Why did you make the decision to attend business school? Why now?
I wanted more career choices and to increase my business acumen.
Why did you choose Florida Warrington? What factors figured most prominently into your decision of where to attend?
I was already a gator and liked UF as an institution, so I wanted to stay. They were also by far the most affordable option for me.
What do you think is your most valuable or differentiating contribution to the Class of 2028?
I have a very science and research-based background, which I hope will bring a different perspective into the Class of 2028.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself that didn’t get included on your application:
Despite studying marine invertebrates in graduate school, reptiles are one of my first passions. I love red rat snakes, or corn snakes, especially.
Post-MBA career interests:
Following my MBA, I hope to start a career in corporate sustainability.
Advice for Current Prospective Applicants:
–What is one thing you would absolutely do again as part of your application process?
Talking frequently with the admissions team really helped smooth over the process and make me excited to start.
–What is one thing you would change or do differently?
It took me a while to track down my needed documentation, so be sure to have GRE scores ect. on hand.
–What is one part you would have skipped if you could—and what helped you get through it?
The waiting period to hear back from admissions. I was currently working on finishing my thesis so that was ample distraction.
What is your initial impression of the Florida Warrington students/culture/community?
My initial impression was very positive! The staff have all been very friendly and all the students I have met have been happy to help their peers.
What student organizations have you joined/are you hoping to join and why?
MBAA to be part of the MBA community and get experience in leadership roles.
What is one thing you have learned about Florida Warrington that has surprised you?
The small class sizes! I knew it would be a small group, but it was definitely smaller than I expected. I like that aspect though.
What is one thing you are most excited about in your first year?
I am most excited to get to know the fellow students in my cohort, and work with them to pass our classes and get career ready.
