I had my interview at 10:00AM (Barcelona time) on 9 March. Initially, it was scheduled for a VC but due to some technical snags, they could not connect to the system. Eventually, it turned out to be a telephonic interview. Peeters, The Senior Manager, Admissions interviewed me.
The interview was more sort of conversational and it went on for about 70 minutes.
It started off with a brief introduction from both the sides and then, the first question was about my degree. I completed my bachelors in three and half years while the general course duration was four years. She asked me what this actually meant in terms of courses. I explained her about the institution policy on course acceleration and related criteria.
She next asked me about my current job profile, the client(s) I’m working with. Once I explained this, I was asked to explain more about my day to day work tasks and the approximate time split up. She then went on to the challenges I faced working with global teams and how I could learn from those. She also asked me about my team leading skills and how they added value to my organization. For the next twenty minutes, we discussed about my experience with Non-profit organizations. I described some of my experiences with various organizations I worked with and also told her about the impact we made on the society. After listening to this, she asked me how I managed my time across professional and community tasks. I told her about the time management techniques that I used. The interview became more interesting when she asked me to describe my top 5 strengths and weaknesses. This went on for another 10 minutes.
Further, the questions were more based on the scholarships. She asked me how critical a scholarship was to me and how it would influence my decision. Later, she asked me how I intend to finance my self in case I don’t get a scholarship.
She asked me where I intended to work once I graduated and why? There were also a couple of questions on type of career I was looking at, post-MBA.
After about an hour, she opened up the interview for my questions. I asked about a couple of questions on the school in general.
Finally, it all ended in a very fine note.
She gave me her mail ID and asked me to contact her in case I needed any further information. So, that is it. All the best to all those appearing for the interviews and also to those who are waiting for the results (includes me :)) You can contact me on krishnaDOTatkuruATgmailDOTcom for any queries.
