My Wharton interviewer was very cordial and professional. He was relaxed and friendly for a few moments in the interview, but most of the time he was very formal and on task. We joked initially about the closet-like nature of the interviewing room and the clock situated directly above my head. His questions were not pointed in any way. Most questions felt routine with the occasional follow-up question as to why I made a certain decision. The interview took exactly 30 minutes, which was more than enough time to make your main points. I emailed him later that day, and he sent a friendly email back encouraging me to contact him with any further questions.
Questions asked:
1. Walk me through how you got from [undergrad institution] to applying to Wharton.
2. Why MBA?
3. Why Wharton?
4. Take some time to think before answering this, and pull from any experience. Describe a time when you had to convince someone of an idea that they were completely opposed to.
5. Tell me about a group situation that was difficult and your role in it.
6. What are you best professional qualities and how will they effect your time at Wharton?
7. Anything else about your application that we haven’t covered that you would like to bring up?
8. Do you have any questions for me.
