Was one of the hardest interviews of my life. Maybe 25 questions in 30 minutes, but very non-chalant so I felt somewhat off-guard throughout. Asked me about everything that essentially wasn’t explored in my application, which I didn’t like given I didn’t dive into it my application for a reason (other parts were just uninteresting or not passionate for me). Picked up on 1-4 words I included in my long-term career goals and really drilled down (maybe unfairly given they were mere examples, but also I provided those…). Kept looking down at watch. Left feeling pretty good, but ultimately not admitted.

Email to check the portal. Waitlisted after interview.
An incredibly disappointing result. I was waitlisted in December after a Round 1 interview. Over the last 5 months I sent in 4 letters of continued interest, which mentioned the following:
1. Took a GRE exam to replace my low-ish GMAT score
2. Received a promotion at work
3. Did a campus tour and classroom visit, plus attended a few additional online events
4. Sent in an additional LoR
5. Talked about speaking with three current students who were also waitlisted
6. Aced a pretty common pre-MBA math class
7. Provided updates on personal achievements and volunteer/charity work
8. Consistently emphasized that CBS was my top choice and expressed my commitment to attend if accepted
At least I can go out saying I did every single possible thing I believe I could have done to get off the waitlist. Regardless, frustrating to think that all of this wasn't enough.
Was placed on the waitlist without interview on 3/28 and rejected from waitlist 5/3.
