The interview was very scripted. The interviewer refused to shake hands due to germs (corona-virus is currently going around for those who read this in the future). She had a checklist of questions and took notes of some of what I said. She did not record my entire answers, presumably only what she felt was necessary to write up her report. Despite the scripted format, she was very friendly and the interview was somewhat conversational. She had not seen my application, and questions were all relatively straightforward: work experience, behavioral questions, why McCombs, goals, etc. As a re-applicant, I noticed that the questions had not changed from the year previous. They also ask what other schools you are applying to (yield concerns I assume). Toward the end of the interview she told me she felt I was a good fit for the school, a good sign compared to a previous experience (different school) where I was told my career goals did not align with the program.

Email to check the portal. Waitlisted after interview.
An incredibly disappointing result. I was waitlisted in December after a Round 1 interview. Over the last 5 months I sent in 4 letters of continued interest, which mentioned the following:
1. Took a GRE exam to replace my low-ish GMAT score
2. Received a promotion at work
3. Did a campus tour and classroom visit, plus attended a few additional online events
4. Sent in an additional LoR
5. Talked about speaking with three current students who were also waitlisted
6. Aced a pretty common pre-MBA math class
7. Provided updates on personal achievements and volunteer/charity work
8. Consistently emphasized that CBS was my top choice and expressed my commitment to attend if accepted
At least I can go out saying I did every single possible thing I believe I could have done to get off the waitlist. Regardless, frustrating to think that all of this wasn't enough.
Was placed on the waitlist without interview on 3/28 and rejected from waitlist 5/3.
