Northwestern Kellogg School of Management has announced the upcoming construction of a “visionary new building,” just shy of a decade after their immense Global Hub.
Estimated to be completed in the fall of 2027, the new building has been designed by architects Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF). It will be the source of a new Evanston-based campus, connect to Kellogg’s Global Hub via a tunnel, and act as a focal point of knowledge sharing for MBA students.

The state-of-the-art building offers students a vast space in which to host and inspire learning and innovation. In practice, this looks like close to 22,000 square feet of classroom space, 48 group study rooms, 7 dining spaces, an executive club, and 160 guest rooms, facilitating greater involvement of guest speakers from around the globe.
The building not only incorporates trailblazing technology, but also has the ability to adapt as that technology evolves. In doing so, it enables Kellogg to offer the best possible hybrid education across all its graduate business degrees, facilitating participation from global students.
KPF architects have carefully designed the building to echo the spirit of innovation that exists throughout Northwestern Kellogg. The building offers “sweeping…views” of Lake Michigan and a flowing, open design that “celebrates the beauty of the lakefront,” says Hana Kassem, Design Principal of KPF. The form works in tandem with the close-by Global Hub, “complementing its sculptural form and light-reflecting material” while echoing the “limestone of the earlier campus buildings.” The building mirrors the marriage of environmental beauty and technological innovation that is key to the Kellogg site and ethos; it does this by “incorporating natural materials and organic patterns and textures” and combining them with cutting-edge dynamic learning and collaboration environments.”
