In this Real Humans: MBA Students, we head to the Midwest U.S. to meet some new members of The Ohio State Fisher MBA Class of 2027.
To start, Army infantry officer Alex Decker returns to his home state to pivot into finance, drawn by Fisher’s intentionally small cohort, individualized support, and a network that feels both powerful and personal. From Lahore, engineer-turned-operator Muhammad Hassaan Qamar chose Fisher for ROI, reputation, and Columbus’s energy—bringing an inclusive, people-first mindset and an eye toward healthcare. Then, Luxembourg native and Fulbright Scholar Etienne Harkemanne adds international depth; with engineering and consulting experience and a Graduate Assistantship in the Office of Career Management, he’s targeting strategy and digital transformation while immersing in Fisher’s collaborative culture.
Brand builder Kseniia Gorodnichaia arrives with seven years leading high-impact campaigns across MENA—and a passion for making marketing accessible to startups—now leveraging Fisher’s experiential projects to pivot into consulting. Cleveland-born HR generalist and lifelong Buckeye fan Simreen Kala rounds out the group, contributing a people-centric lens to discussions while exploring pathways in strategic HR and finance.
Together, these students spotlight Fisher’s hallmark strengths: close-knit community, individualized coaching, hands-on learning with real clients, and a far-reaching alumni network. Read on for their stories.
