Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business has announced the launch of its new MiM to MBA Pathway, allowing graduates of McDonough’s M.S. in Management (MiM) program to transfer credits from their MiM degree to the Full-time or Flex MBA.

Designed for MiM alumni with three to five years of professional experience who are seeking career advancement, leadership development, or specialization in specific fields or sectors, the new pathway is an opportunity to complement their master’s and earn two degrees in an accelerated timeframe.

“Our goal is to empower MiM alumni to return to McDonough with new experiences and ambitions, and take the next step in their journey as leaders,” said Michael O’Leary, senior associate dean for graduate and executive degree programs in the school’s announcement. “The MiM to MBA Pathway not only accelerates their degree but also expands their access to new ideas, networks, and opportunities that will shape the trajectory of their careers.”

Once admitted to the MBA program, MiM graduates can transfer up to 27 of their credit hours toward the 54-credit MBA, enabling them to achieve their degree in as little as a year (depending on format). The MiM program is STEM-designated and focused on technology and innovation. For MiM alumni, the big draw is to the experiential learning and career services the McDonough MBA program offers.

In addition to the top-ranked MBA curriculum the program includes opportunities to travel abroad for consulting projects, gain real-world experience to business challenges, and participation in co-curricular activities like Small Business Corps and student clubs.

The MiM to MBA Pathway is open to any graduate of Georgetown’s MiM program. Learn more about the accelerated path here.
