Nothing very surprising about this interview. I looked at published interview guides and forums to get an understanding of the types of questions that were asked in previous years and my interviewer did not stray far from what I had seen.
It was pretty casual and conversational – the first 10 minutes were getting to know me and my background, then we got into the why MBA/why Ross/why now questions, followed by some behavioral questions.
Then ended the interview with me asking some questions.
My advice to future applicants would be to have a strong elevator pitch (who you are and your experience), strong understanding on why you’re pursuing your MBA and why this school fits your goals, and then practice some behavioral style questions (practice using STAR method). I was accepted using a test waiver and received $100k in total scholarship ($50k/year).
