The interview was very conversational, with a second-year student. It was my first MBA interview, I was a little anxious before it, but the warm talk allowed me to breathe and take it calmly. I already knew who the interviewer was (no blind interview), so I was prepared.

Two part interview: Resume and then behavioral
The interviewer started by introducing herself, we had chance to briefly connect on some similarities from our careers. After that I answered to the Tell me about yourself question.
We continued with the Whys (Why MBA, Why now and Why Fuqua), Short- and Long-Term goals, What will you do if you don’t get into Fuqua?, How will you contribute to Team Fuqua/Community?, What Fuqua classes, clubs, and resources interest you most?, and finally, Tell me about an initiative you’d start at Fuqua.

After that, we moved to the behavioral questions: TMAAT you led without authority, a time you failed, a time you received feedback, Ethical Dilemma Story, a moment you’re most proud of professionally.
*She hinted that she was supposed to ask about diversity and inclusion, but I had previously addressed this in another question.

In the end, we had time for me to ask her three questions and thank each other for the interview

Interview structure and questions where pretty similar to previous years (according to my research). No surprises there.

Based on this experience, I think the school focuses on getting to know you beyond academics, has a friendly environment. Went really well on my perception. As recommendation, I guess mentioning Team Fuqua and tons of community engagement is valued. Probably one of the schools that weights this aspect heavier. I guess I didn’t do this as much, and that’s why I’ve been Waitlisted. In the waitlist events they have mentioned that this is expected and that’s one of the ways to get out of the waitlist.
